Economics, Capitalism, and Money
Make Knowledge, Wisdom, and Purpose your foundations for making financial decisions.
Making a significant financial decision as an adult is difficult for most people*. However, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau claims, “Financial knowledge and decision-making skill help people make informed financial decisions...” I agree with their position. During my 30+ years in the business of giving financial advice, my initial and annual ongoing education reinforces that claim. However, I believe they leave out two essential elements of the teaching: wisdom and purpose. We cannot teach a person wisdom and purpose. But, we should discuss wisdom and purpose and consider them part of the financial decision-making process.
The following links take you to a topical list of Prager U’s 5-minute videos, interviews, and short clips. You can further refine these lists by adding a filter of your choice.
The presentations are informational. Most are serious, some are entertaining, and others are political. One of my favorites is the 5-minute video “Seven Economic Truths.” Take a look. You’ll find something thought-provoking, informative, wise, and purposeful.
